Our Experience

We go through things quickly in our household, especially gear for our active Golden Retriever, Max. The Ruffwear Approach Pack has been a godsend. I've had it for about a week now and we've already taken it on three hikes. What I like most is how comfortable it looks on Max. He doesn't seem to mind the weight when he's carrying his own water bowl, toy, and treats. The five-point adjustment system made it easy to fit him properly.

However, I wish there were slightly larger compartments for Max's favorite squeaky toy and bigger water bottle. As it is now, we have to stuff them in a bit awkwardly. But that's a minor gripe because overall, the Ruffwear Approach Pack has been a great addition to our hiking adventures. Max seems happier carrying his own gear, and I don't have to worry about him drooling on my pack anymore!
