After reading countless reviews on self-warming pet beds, I decided to give the Mora Pets Self-Heating Cat Mat a try. My elderly cat, Whiskers, has been struggling with the cold floors of our drafty old house, and I thought this might be just the thing to keep him cozy. I've had this mat for about three weeks now, and it's safe to say, Whiskers is a fan. The first thing I noticed was how quickly it warms up - within minutes of placing him on it, he'd curl up with a contented purr. It's like his own personal space heater! Soft fluffy sherpa-like fleece on outside (helps trap heat), interior pad has reflective material (helps reflect heat), slim zipper, slightly grippy bottom.Basically takes the animals heat and helps maintain it by trapping heat and reflecting it back. This is the perfect cat bed, it is exactly what I was looking for. Good quality, great price. I have multiple older cats who tend to get chilly in the winter as snow moves in. The heating pad is loved by all but a common ground in temperature and time have not been agreed upon. Immediately, upon opening this bed, we realized how soft it is! It’s like a cloud! A soft, fuzzy teddy bear cloud! We rolled it out and set it down for Matilda. She walked up to it, sniffed it curled up and didn’t leave for about 12 hours. And it’s been pretty cold here. She slept on it all through the night and seemed very comfy.
